The new batch of our very successful Formula 1 pipe is now available with the new ceramic coating. High temperature resistance keeps the heat in the pipe to increase engine performance. There is also a new way of mounting on the car. We use a clamp to fix the pipe as flexible as possible with no risk of getting loose on the car.

Hy,

I bought new version of Samba for F1.
There are few problems with it.

1. manifold is too long, and the pipe is melting bodyshell
2. after semi-finals and finals on EFRA GP in Sollenau, o-rings are burned out, and I mounted this pipe on saturday....
3. how to remove this coating from the pipe?
with some nitro paint remover or ivasol?

I think that's the reason pipe is soo hot, melting o-rings and bodyshell...

Any help is appreciated....

Hello Stegy,

Nice to hear from you.
I am a bit surprised on your post because we were together after you finished the final and you were very happy with the pipe.
Anyway the special coating makes the pipe better perform as it keeps the heat in the pipe which is important. Probably the mounting was not ok on your car and that caused the problems. Next time we meet I am happy to check. If you have any more questions please let me know

Hy,

After the semi-finals I check the pipe, and because it was fitted with new clamp sistem I thought it was ok to have some play, but after the race I removed the pipe and both o-rings were burned and pipe have some serious play on connection with manifold.
I mounted the pipe as you told me, also I putted some telfon grease on o-rings as I always do on samba pipes, also that rubber tube was mounted, and spring also.
But my consirn is why o-rings didnt last... Confused I didnt have any contacts with car on pipe side...
Never had any problems with o-rings on first 2 samba F1 pipes...
And unfortunately, I dont have any more o-rings in spare. Crying or Very sad
