I have been driving three rounds of the cup since the last time.
The results have been up and down.. most down.. the best race at my "home track" I finished 5:th but I was less than 1 lap from 3:rd place Smile

Last race the past weekend was my worst ever Mad I had problems with my car all day.. screws comeing lose... bendt screws... and in the long final I got involved in a small collision making my right rear puchrod come apart! It took too long time to repair so I didn´t finish the race... Crying or Very sad I got my first DNF... hopefully my last Smile The cup-final is 4 weeks from now and gives dubbel points... I´m in 4:th place over all now.. maybe I can make some improvement... the final is at my hometrack Smile

2 weeks ago I realized that I´ve been running too much caster on my car, making it understeer in slow corners... What do you guys think would be a proper caster-angle?

Lazlo?

My car needs new rodends for the front pushrods... It´s fitted with IGUS kbrm03 but the thread is M4 instead of M3 as is standard configuration in the Igus catalogue.

Did you bore them out or is it a special RS5-version?

Laszlo?
How do I disasemble the pistonrod seal? I do not see how to get it out.

Is there a repair-kit for the shockabsorbers?

If you are talking about the black plastic seal in the bottom of the shock, you just need to press them towards the inside, that is how you get them out. Then you can replace the red o-rings.

How is your pushrod car doing?

I found a exploded view drawing of the shocks so I have solved my problem. At that time I could not get any silicone o-rings so I used standard black ones.. It worked but probably not as long as silicone ones would last.

It is doing fine! Smile this spring I changed almost all of the igus uniballs in the front due to wear , expensive but it runs alot better now, I´m thinking of getting new ball-joints for the a-arms as well to get rid of all play in the suspension.. I also found some new speed in the car the last race I was driving! I had been running far too heavy shock-oil in the back.
I changed it to lighter oil and gained some traction Smile
The oil is now 1000 maybe it´s too heavy as well? Should I try maybe 700 ?

I´m continuing driving our local "Ba-cup" this summer.
We have driven two rounds now and I have finished 2:nd,3:rd,2:nd and 3:rd in the races (2 races each round) some of it due to luck but I´m feeling faster than last season Mr. Green

I am happy for you about your success with the pushrod car. I have been running 2000 oil weight all around, it is med to hot temps here in USA, so that is why I am using the oil weight. I use 1000 when it is cold.
By the way here are some pics of the just released 1/5 scale Corvette C6R body by Frank Killiam.
